Albums
The discography of American rock band Toto includes 13 studio albums, 4 live albums, as well as a number of compilations. In addition to the release of original music, Toto has also done collaborations with other artists and on soundtracks for films. The group has won multiple Grammy Awards.
Before Toto was formed the members of the group played sessions for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate, and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session percussionist Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs 1975 album Silk Degrees. 스포츠토토 was formed in the year 1976 in the wake of the collaboration.
The band's third album, Turn Back, marked an abrupt departure from the progressive sound of their previous efforts and was criticized for the lack of hit singles. In 1985 the singer Fergie Frederiksen resigned from the group and the band held auditions for a new frontman. Guitarist Steve Lukather was chosen, and the band recorded the 1986 album Fahrenheit.
In 1998, Toto celebrated its 20th anniversary by re-discovering old demos and tapes to release a special record called Toto XX. The album was well-loved by fans and Toto embarked on an extensive tour with former members Bobby Kimball Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.
Shem Von Schröck replaced Leland Sklar as the drummer during the tour in support of the 40 Trips Around the Sun album. In 2017, Toto released the double-CD set Falling in Between. It included live recordings from the tour as well as an interview with the group.

The group is comprised of Steve Lukather (vocalist/guitarist), David Paich (bassist), Steve Porcaro (keyboardist/vocalist), Jeff Porcaro and Joseph Williams vocalist/guitarist. In 1983, the band released Toto IV, which earned them worldwide acclaim. After the success of the album the group embarked on a world tour in support of it. During the tour, lead singer Bobby Kimball was arrested on drug charges. The band decided to let him go at the conclusion of the tour and then hired singer/guitarist Joseph Williams in his place. David Hungate, the drummer was also let go after the tour. He was replaced by bassist Leland Sklar.
The TOTO Museum is a futuristic building with several exhibition rooms dedicated to presenting the story of the company and its most innovative products. Its exhibits include toilets faucets and tableware that have contributed to the growth of the TOTO brand over the past half century. The museum has special exhibits throughout the time of the year.

Toto has produced a number of music videos. The band has released a number of compilation videos and DVDs. The band's most popular video is "Africa" which has more than one billion views. The video is set in a library, with the band performing atop a stack of African books.
The song "Africa" is from the album Toto IV. The song was written by members of the band and produced by David Paich. It was a huge hit in Europe and a variety of other countries. The single's success helped Toto regain their popularity after their previous album, Turn Back, failed to chart in the United States.

After the album, Toto went on a world tour. The group featured touring musicians Lenny Castro and Shannon Forrest. Warren Ham, Shem von Schröeck, and Shem von Schroeck also were part of the group. In addition guitarist Steve Lukather released his second solo album, Luke.
In 1985, Fergie Frederiksen, Toto's drummer, left the group for personal reasons. Toto held an audition to find an alternative for Frederiksen.
Before and during Toto's formation the members of the group worked as session musicians for a wide range of artists. Drummer Jeff Porcaro and bassist David Hungate were on the album Silk Degrees by Boz Scaggs, which led to Toto's formation. Paich played keyboards on Steely Dan's records, Seals and Crofts and Sonny and Cher.
In 1998, Toto started working on the project titled Old Is New. The album featured three brand new tracks and several completed recordings of older songs. The album became a huge hit and the band embarked on a tour to promote it.

The band Toto, best known for their hit "Africa", recently joined forces for a tour to promote their new album, All In. The album was released on November 6, 2018 and included three brand new tracks from the upcoming 40 Trips Around the Sun, as well as completed recordings of four other older tracks that featured Jeff Porcaro on drums and either Mike or Steve Porcaro on bass. The album also included a cover of Weezer's song "Hash Pipe" that the band decided to include after hearing the song on the radio.
